Casual Workwear Style Sudoku, Hybrid Work Schedule Recap
From February 7th through 25th, I wore the 16 items pictured below in 14 outfits as part of my Casual Workwear Style Sudoku: Hybrid Work Schedule Edition. The 14 outfits are made from the rows, columns, corners, and diagonals of the sudoku (plus there are at least two bonus outfits if you’re feeling ambitious!). This style sudoku featured outfits I wore to the office and to WFH!
A style sudoku is my favorite style challenge—if you know me, you know I’m a big sudoku nerd, and I like that it’s not as restrictive as some other style challenges, which works better for me. Plus, it’s a great way to test out new combinations and find some new favorite outfits to add to the rotation! I also love knowing what I’m wearing every day!
Casual Workwear Style Sudoku Capsule Wardrobe:
Hybrid Work Schedule
After eight months of being back in the office full-time, it was fun to get back into dressing to work from home with the style sudoku style challenge! (I also put together a “back to the office” style sudoku capsule wardrobe when I went back into the office full time last summer.) This style sudoku was particularly challenging to put together, as I combined office-appropriate and work from home outfits in the same sudoku! I’m now spending two days in the office and three days working from home. If you’re also working a hybrid schedule, this capsule wardrobe is for you!
A RECAP OF MY STYLE SUDOKU CAPSULE WARDROBE
Overall, this style sudoku was pretty successful! I included one pair of “outside” pants (the skinny jeans) and wore those to the office three times and to my one day out in the field. I ended up needing two more office outfits, so I wore my black wide leg pants…I’ve never worn those pants to the office before because they’re essentially loungewear. But, the world didn’t end like I was worried about, lol. And I felt super comfy at the office all day. 😉
I opted out of including shoes in this style sudoku so I could wear whatever shoes were appropriate for the weather (when I went into the office), and as you can see below, I wore my slippers for all my work from home outfits. It feels gross wearing my shoes around the house during the day! (Plus, I don’t feel any less productive in slippers; in fact, I’m more productive because my feet stay warm!)
Because I didn’t include shoes this time around, I substituted those spots with jewelry! I haven’t been wearing my jewelry that much as of late, so it was good to wear those and remind my ears that they are, in fact, pierced. I didn’t experience any irritation after not wearing them for so long, which was great! The larger hoops were a bit tricky to wear with my headphones while working.
I forced myself to select different types of bottoms for my work from home outfits, which is why I have the one pair of wide leg lounge pants, the one pair of joggers, and the one pair of leggings. Truth be told, I probably wouldn’t have worn my leggings if not for the challenge; I prefer looser pants these days, and they were a little bit chilly to wear. We still had many cold days since it’s winter, but the second week had some warmer weather that was much appreciated!
