Link Love, vol. 30
Happy LAST DAY of June! We are officially halfway through 2023... I can’t believe it. We’ve been enjoying the beautiful late spring weather here in Boise. We had a solid two weeks of thunderstorms nearly every day, and it was amazing! Summer showed up yesterday and now it looks like it’s here to stay. Already missing the nice 70s and 80s, haha.
Tomorrow is the grand opening of a new thrift store here in Boise called Indy Clover. It’s a Utah-based retailer that is quickly expanding to most of the western states and even some in the midwest. Instead of it being a consignment shop, you book a small “booth” for a week and bring in clothes to sell at the prices you want. They charge for the booth rental ($30 + tax) and take 1/3 of the sale price, which is better than getting pennies at a consignment shop. I have been researching this place like crazy and decided to book a booth because I have so many things to list on Poshmark. I’ll report back on how it goes!

Today ONLY (June 30th), you can stuff your Kindle (or other e-reader) with loads of free books! I’m on a self-imposed Kindle-no-buy this year because I have tons of books I still need to read but I make an exception for free books, haha. Browse the entire (SUPER LONG) list!
I saw Kelsea Ballerini in concert on Wednesday night (she’s AMAZING!)…and someone in the crowd threw a beaded friendship bracelet at her, hitting her in the face while she was singing and playing guitar. I didn’t see the bracelet at the time, I just saw her turn around quickly and assumed she had swallowed a bug. Turns out the people around the bracelet tosser (there are a couple of TikToks showing her) didn’t say anything!!! And didn’t get security! If she never comes back to Boise I’m going to be sooo sad. 😭
Did you hear that Simone Biles is making a comeback?! She’s set to compete at the upcoming U.S. Classic! I really wanted to attend the U.S. Olympic Trials for gymnastics next year but the ticket prices are SO high. Ugh, it’s like they knew she would be coming back, lol.
This tweet sums up my feelings about the recent Supreme Court decisions. I think we should start calling them the Subordinate Court… or Inferior Court.
I’ve mentioned in passing on Instagram stories that Korri and I are getting into the credit card point game. We can’t do a whole lot because it’s just the two of us and we don’t have a ton of expenses, but we were able to book business class flights to Europe on points!!! If you’re interested in learning more, check out the free course on 10xTravel. This is not sponsored in any way (and it’s not a “free” course that cons you into paying for anything). The free Facebook group is also helpful yet can be overwhelming at times (you have to agree to take the course when you join the group)! And let me know if you’re in the game too so we can chat about it!!!
I’m headed to Europe with my family for the first time in a long time in the fall… I feel like a baby giraffe that has never travelled before in my life! LOL! I appreciate when the travel pros share their tips (via The Washington Post).
Headed to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour? (My shows are coming up in July—finally!) Need a gift for a Swiftie in your life? Shop small and support fellow Swifties offering unique merch (that is likely way better quality than the stuff coming out of UMG, lol).
There are so many great 4th of July sales going on now!!! Here are 10 that I am browsing: Abercrombie (20% off almost everything), ABLE (25% off sitewide), Everlane (up to 70% off sale styles), Faherty (up to 40% off select styles), Hotel Lobby Candle (20% off sitewide), Knickey (up to 50% off), Madewell (extra 30% off sale styles), Nisolo (up to 50% off select styles), Summersalt (30% off sitewide), Travelpro (up to 20% off sitewide)
