Spring 2024 Wardrobe Additions
I have not been shopping for clothes as much these past few months, and I truly think it’s because I currently own an overwhelming number of items that don’t fit and that need to be listed on Poshmark or donated. I look at every new purchase and ask myself if I think I’m going to keep it for a while because I just CANNOT deal with the number of things that I’m unable to wear right now.
That said, here’s everything I added to my wardrobe this past spring! All of my 2024 clothing purchases are being added to this Pinterest board. I also shared the items I tried and returned and what’s coming up for summer!

Spring 2024 Clothing Budget & Wardrobe Additions
$600 (quarterly budget) = $600 - $574 ($0 March + $211 April + $363 May) => $26 left over
Items I added to my wardrobe:
Abercrombie & Fitch Curve Love A&F Sloane Tailored Pant (paid $76 | originally $90)
The Sloane tailored pant from Abercrombie gets rave reviews, so I had to try it for myself. I was fully prepared to dislike these pleated trousers, but I was pleasantly surprised! They look better on me than I thought they would. I’m holding on to them in case I need to dress up a bit for work. I bought them in size 28 short and the length is perfect.
Abercrombie & Fitch Curve Love High Rise Dad Short (paid $59 | originally $70)
I’m running low on shorts that fit me, so I picked up these white denim shorts in size 28. I put them on and knew immediately that they were going to stay. They’re so stretchy and comfortable. You know how much I love a good pair of white shorts! I’m looking forward to wearing these this summer.
Abercrombie & Fitch Curve Love Ultra High Rise Ankle Straight Jean (paid $76 | originally $90)
I already own these jeans in the super dark blue wash and love them, so I ordered a second pair in black (which is more of a washed black than true stark black). The black pair is even softer! I brought both pairs with me on our recent trip to Scotland. The size 28 fits me great.
Allbirds Tree Runners (paid $99)
I love my burgundy Tree Runners so much (they’re my new favorite travel sneaker) that I added a second pair to the rotation, this time in beige! I love this neutral for spring and summer. My true size 7 fits perfectly.
MATE the Label Organic Cotton Classic Tee (paid $34 | originally $48)
If money were no object, I’d own everything MATE the Label makes. I love them SO much. The organic cotton classic tee in white (reviewed here) is my current favorite everyday tee, so I purchased it in black, too. It has the perfect drape. I take a size small!
Uniqlo Ribbed Cropped Sleeveless Bra Top in off-white stripe, black stripe, white, grey, black (paid $21 each | originally $30 each)
I originally ordered this top in five colors in summer 2023 and decided to reorder some of them (plus the new striped options) in the next size up. While the smalls I got first still fit and I still wear them, sometimes they feel just a bit too snug around my ribcage by the end of the day. The mediums are a touch looser and comfier for all-day wear! I love the stripes, too.
Vessi Weekend Court Sneaker (paid $125)
I had my eyes on waterproof sneakers from Vessi for weeks before I finally bought these! I actually considered the everyday classic sneaker instead of the weekend court sneaker until the very last minute. I decided I wanted a less sporty-looking sneaker! These fit me in my usual size 7 but are somewhat tight over the top of my right foot. I have this issue with other sneakers, too, so my foot must be oddly shaped or something lol.
Zella High Waist Studio Lite Pocket 7/8 Leggings (no longer available | not pictured | used Poshmark credit)
I already own these leggings and they’re one of my favorite pairs, but they’re too tight now, so I decided to buy a second pair in a larger size. I’m not convinced these are the exact same (Nordstrom/Zella may have changed them slightly after I got mine), but they fit! The other bummer is that the Poshmark seller used an extremely strong detergent and the smell is nearly impossible to get out.
Items I tried and returned:
I wrote about these loafers a bit in my winter 2024 wardrobe update because I was still trying to decide what to do with them. I ended up returning them for a couple of reasons: the sizing wasn’t perfect, and they squeaked when I walked around the house! I’m bummed because they really are stunning loafers.
I was sooo excited for this dress! I really thought it’d work for me. I fell in love with the black/bone floral pattern first and also tried the all-black version. I ordered size 4; I would have done a size 6 but reviews said it ran large. The 4 did feel fine on me, even with my broad shoulders, but it was pretty oversized in the body and looked a bit overwhelming on me (the length was down to mid-calf). Also, the arm holes on the floral dress were too tight! I couldn’t move my arms much. The linen fabric was substantial and not really lightweight at all.
What’s on deck for summer:
More workout gear!
I included this in my winter wardrobe update and added a few new items for barre class, but I’m probably going to get some more, lol. I browse other retailers frequently but haven’t taken the plunge on anything just yet.
I can’t think of any other specific items I’m planning to add to my wardrobe this summer! We’ll see what the summer sales hold—I’m sure, like in years past, I won’t be able to resist them.
