Grad School Style Sudoku: Spring Edition
Grad School Capsule Wardrobe for Spring
Do you recognize all those items? π A few months ago, I came across the idea of a "style sudoku" capsule wardrobe, and me being the ultimate sudoku nerd and nerd in general (as evidenced by my favorite iPhone apps), I knew I had to do it! I thought it would be the most fun to do it in the transitional seasons since they better allow for different outfit combinations. I was too excited to get started, so I put together my spring style sudoku way back in January! I only ended up switching out the necklace I had originally picked for a different one.
The idea is that you pick four tops, four bottoms, four pairs of shoes, and four accessories (in my case, I decided to vary my accessories and picked one jacket, one pair of earrings, one necklace, and one bag) and then arrange the items so that each row, column, corner, and diagonal can make an outfit. So, out of 16 items, you can make 14 outfits. Pretty fun, right?! (There are also two bonus outfits made with the βsquaresβ of the two inner rows!)
Below I show you each of the 14 outfits, and if you want to see the original outfit post with details, just click on the photo of interest! βΊοΈ
I plan to do this again in the fall with different items. Next time, I may not include so many "statement" pieces...but we'll see! The floral skirt certainly got a lot of wear since it was in four different outfits.
What do you think of this method to remix your closet?
