Postcards from Vienna, vol. 1
I recently returned from a quick trip abroad! I somewhat spontaneously booked a trip to Vienna, Austria, two weeks before my departure date. An old friend from high school is currently living there, so I figured...why not?! With my recent life changes, I was itching for an adventure, and I especially wanted to travel outside of the country since I hadn't been out of it in five years. (My passport won't stamp itself, unfortunately. ;) Ha!) I like to think of the trip as "my revival" of sorts, and fittingly, my theme song for it was Revival by Selena Gomez.
I spent about a week casually exploring the city. Most of it I did myself since my friend is busy finishing up her degree, though the idea of me setting out on my own in a city I've never been to (especially when I don't know the language) really freaked me out at first. I definitely had to talk myself into going out those first couple of days, but after I made it through those days and started learning the public transit, I gained confidence and was excited to go out. The city is incredibly beautiful, and every day I couldn't believe I was actually there.
Here are some snaps from my first few days wandering around Vienna. Of course, I took so many photos that I'll be posting a volume two. ;) Hope you enjoy! I still can't believe I was just there walking the streets. It feels like a dream now!
