Classic Americana
Happy Independence Day to all of my American friends! How are you celebrating? I have invites to a couple of BBQs this evening and then I'll hopefully be watching fireworks from somewhere. :) I just love this holiday so much! I'm so happy to be home for it this year.
When I think of classic American attire, I think of denim (or its cousin, chambray). Does anything scream "AMERICAN!" as much as cut-off denim shorts, though, really? (I can think of other examples but I would never be caught dead in them myself...hahaha. Though I used to live in an orange camo trucker hat when I was younger. Yikes!)
I decided to pull out my chambray skirt for this look, and I had originally only planned to wear it with this floral shirt and my navy sandals, but I added the bag and hat and instantly felt more pulled together (and I got the white to finish up the red, white, and blue combo). It was incredibly hot on the day we shot these, so I treated my brother and myself to refreshing shaved ice! Yum!
P.S. Thank you to my brother, Will, for taking my outfit photos (again)!
