What's old is new
I've been planning on wearing (and shooting) an outfit featuring these jeans and flats together basically since I got the flats a year ago, and it just never happened until now. (Well, I have worn them together in pretty much this exact outfit but it wasn't photographed.) For some reason I think they go together so well! I kept it light on top with a tucked-in old pseudo-chambray shirt (it's not really chambray but that's what LOFT called it) and added my utility jacket for a little bit of color besides blue. ;)
I've had every item in this outfit for at least a year and most items for much longer than that, yet this outfit still feels current. I love pulling out old favorites and giving them new life, and I especially love that I didn't feel dated wearing this. It was the perfect smart casual outfit for work.
Speaking of work, I managed to spill yogurt all over my jeans right when I got in the morning I wore this outfit so it was almost not photographed. Cute, right? Luckily my water bottle and extra napkins came to the rescue, ha!
P.S. I'm finally forcing myself to edit my photos with Lightroom instead of Photoshop Elements. I've had Lightroom since I got my DSLR nearly two years ago and had yet to use it for editing because it seemed so complicated. (I actually bought a class for it... I should do it, haha.) This is the first set of photos that was edited with Lightroom, so please let me know what you think! :)
