Sleeveless sweater weather
We recently had a couple of those rare Perfect Autumn Days. Do you know the ones I'm talking about? Those days where it's crisp in the mornings and then warm enough to bare either your arms or your legs (but not both) in the afternoon. The sun shines in a cloudless sky with the slightest breeze moving through the air. Those days feel rare to us here; our falls (and springs) tend to jump from hot to cold to hot to cold until it's winter and the cold is here to stay for three months straight. I always long for more of those perfect days where it's mid 60s-low 70s. We don't get nearly enough!
As you can imagine, I take full advantage of Perfect Autumn Days when it comes to planning outfits to shoot for the blog. If I see a Perfect Autumn Day in the forecast, I immediately start figuring out which outfit I should wear and make sure that we can photograph it that day. It's always a bummer when our (my boyfriend's and my) schedules don't work on on those days. (He does shift work for his job.)
Last weekend, one of those rare days happened, so I quickly pulled together this (albeit very basic) look to commemorate the occasion. I love the look of the cowlneck sweater under the jacket, and the fact that it's sleeveless means there's no bulk under the jacket sleeves. Sleeveless sweaters confuse me because I always thought, when is it cold enough for a sweater yet warm enough to bare arms? Well, my friends: the answer is on Perfect Autumn Days. ;) It was nice enough to take off my jacket and be perfectly comfortable!
