Business // casual
Even though my workplace is more casual than business, I like a good outfit that incorporates both sides. That said, I think the only aspect of my outfit that reads “business” is my blazer—and it’s a ponte knit blazer, so definitely more casual/less structured than your typical business blazer! I honestly don’t know what I would do if I worked in a truly business professional field. I would feel clueless about how to dress myself and likely feel not like myself!
This outfit is made up of mostly older pieces; the sandals and earrings are the newest additions. I’ve had the tee for over three years, the blazer for two years (that’s it? It feels like it’s been longer!), and the jeans for a little over a year. It’s funny…I remember buying this side-tie tee and really hoping it wouldn’t go out of style right away. Here we are over three years later and tie tees are still trending. However, it seems as though the ties have moved into the center of the tees/tops now? I’m not a fan of that and would rather tie a button-up in the front and keep the built-in ties to the side! Ha. Are you pro-front-tie or do you prefer the side-ties? (Or no ties?)
