Fall back

I try to post at least every other day, but I have not been able to get ahead of this week! I went home for a couple of days to meet my adorable nephew and hang out with family, and I've been frantically catching up with work (research) ever since I got back. Plus, I haven't been too excited about my most recent outfits.

My boyfriend and I missed the bus home today by only a minute. Instead of waiting for the next one, we decided to walk home. The sun was already behind the mountains and clouds filled the sky, but the temperature was perfect. It's supposed to gradually warm up through this weekend, which I am so excited about! We stopped to take some outfit photos against a pretty red leaf background. They didn't turn out all that great thanks to the poor lighting situation and my now outdated iPhone 4s, so I attempted to edit them a bit. The end of daylight savings is never my favorite; I hate how early it gets dark! My days are already far too short because the sun rises over mountains and sets over mountains.

I brought out the chambray again! I really wanted to wear my new black vest that I scored while I was home. I'm not sure how I feel about this outfit. It would probably look better without the vest. Oh well. I bet it'll look smashing with my L.L. Bean plaid flannel shirt.

I saw a lot of various colored berries on the walk home. I have never seen so many colored berries here before. They reminded me of holly wreathes and cranberries a little bit. I'm starting to get really excited for the holiday season!
