Winter is coming
The mountains and hills surrounding us now have a nice blanket of snow, so it's safe to say that fall will be coming to an end in the near future. As much as I dislike snow, its appearance in November and December puts me in the holiday spirit! I'm normally the person who won't listen to Christmas music until the day after Thanksgiving, but I sure am tempted to cozy up on the couch and turn on some tunes (especially because Echosmith just released three Christmas songs today and Sia releases an album with original songs in a week!).
This fall and winter, I've decided to start Operation: Wear Only the Coziest Sweaters. I don't know what happened, but I cannot tolerate itchy or uncomfortable shirts and sweaters right now. I've basically been cycling through my cashmere, cashmere blend, and merino wool sweaters because most of my cotton and regular wool sweaters don't feel soft enough. Life is too short to wear clothes that aren't soft! That's most of the reason why I jumped on this cashmere waffle knit sweater by Everlane—gimme all the cashmere! I also picked up a new cashmere sweater from Grana that I plan to review next week and feature in an outfit post this month. It's SO SOFT! It's safe to say that Operation: Wear Only the Coziest Sweaters is off to a very good start. ;)
To keep with the cozy theme, I've been wearing relatively simple outfits consisting of a sweater, jeans, and boots. Can't get much simpler than that! This iteration features my drop-hem jeans and shiny black Chelsea boots. It was too cold to go without a coat, so I made it a part of my outfit and tied everything together with a season-appropriate scarf.
