Burgundy // gold
I am unapologetically in love with wearing quintessential fall color combinations. Even though I recently talked about how I'm lacking in outfit inspiration this fall, this is one of the outfits I was planning to wear and share here. I felt like a walking advertisement for autumn in my burgundy coat and gold sweater that perfectly match the various shades of changing leaves (my sweater looks quite orange in this light!). Sadly, the beautiful colors are winding down and the snow is creeping closer and closer to the valley floor. :( I'm not ready for winter!
I picked the windowpane skirt instead of something black because I didn't want the outfit to be too dark and heavy, plus it adds interest with the pattern. You can't see it here, but I actually tucked only the front of the sweater into the skirt and let it hang out the back. It was just slightly too bulky to do a full tuck, but the front tuck gives the illusion of a full tuck when I'm wearing the coat!
In other news, I'm also in love with Kelsea Ballerini's new album, Unapologetically. Have you heard it yet? It's got a mix of heartbreak and personal thoughts and love songs, and I can't get enough! I'm hoping it's released in vinyl format soon but I know a deluxe version will be released eventually, too. Sadly she's not stopping here on her tour (hardly anyone comes to Boise) but I'm hoping to make the trip somewhere else. I swear all my money now will be spent on traveling to see my favorite artists in concert! Those of you reading from big cities: Don't take local concerts for granted. ;)
