Textures over accessories

If you've been reading for a while, you know that I love wearing a variety of different textures in the same outfit (previous examples shown here and here). Like colors, textures create visual interest, and I especially love wearing textures in lieu of accessorizing. I haven't been wearing as many accessories as of late, mostly because I can't be bothered to think about what earrings or necklace I want to wear when I'm getting dressed in the morning and partly because I don't wear as many accessories in the summer in general.

I love the textural combination of the silky bomber jacket, lace tank top, and suede slide sandals. The fact that the perforation in the sandals mimics the lace top was an added bonus! And of course, the colors...yep, I'm a fan of this one. :) I'm glad it's not too warm to wear this (yet), but even if it was hot out, it's easy enough to wear this outfit with the jacket to work (in the blasting A/C) and remove the jacket afterward...even if my only evening plans are to stop by the grocery store and then plop myself on the couch once I get home!
