Grocery store style
I'm an honest person, but today I'm going to be extremely honest with you: I put on their outfit simply to run to the grocery store and I didn't go anywhere else except right back home. Exciting, huh? I know, my life is super aspirational. ;) The highlight of the grocery store run was being complimented on these (old!) sandals while I was picking out a new yogurt to try. (I guess I also loved buying donuts and ice cream and it's taking everything in me to not eat them right now—at the time I'm writing this—because I haven't had dinner yet, LOL.)
I threw together this outfit quickly starting with my striped tee. Long sleeves probably sound crazy when it was nearly 100°F, but I'm always freezing in the grocery store, haha. I've learned my lesson to always wear long sleeves or at least bring an extra layer! I added my navy shorts because I haven't worn them all summer—the downside to having limited weekends and owning a variety of skirts, shorts, and dresses that are reserved only for the weekend. Instead of going with the matchy-matchy navy sandals, I picked my cognac sandals and matched them to my bag. I gotta throw in a little matchy-matchy somewhere. ;)
I'm signing off with a couple of grocery-related questions: 1) What do you pack yourself for weekday lunches? I typically eat avocado toast and an arugula salad with nuts but looking to mix it up (swap the toast for something else but keep the salad probably lol; I'm trying to reduce gluten). 2) What do you snack on during the day? I grabbed a bag of salty, crunchy chickpeas since they're healthier than chips. I also usually have yogurt and lately some kind of fruit with me (but I also tend to eat a bunch of sweets). I need better food to eat during the day and would love any suggestions!
