Alpine Boots in the Backcountry
Alternate title: Fuzzy faux fur bear in the backcountry. ;) Korri and I went on a quick road trip into the backcountry this past weekend to catch a glimpse of the south fork of the Boise River and search for pretty fall foliage. Unfortunately, the leaves were almost entirely on the ground, but we did find some patches of snow dust! Not surprisingly, it was super cold, so I was glad to have my cozy cable knit sweater, faux fur coat, and new Glacier boots by Earth along for the ride. (I always feel a little bit extra when I wear this coat, especially if I’m just “out and about”, but I’ve learned to embrace it.)
The thick, rugged soles and waterproof (!) suede exterior make these boots an excellent companion to any outdoor adventure. They’d be especially perfect for winter outings! I’m wearing my true size, but I would recommend sizing up if you want to wear thick winter socks with them. The Glacier boots are available in four colors: amber (shown here), winter (a light tan), dark taupe (camo print), and dark brown. They feature side zips for easy on/off (the best because then I don’t ruin the lace ties!). And, of course, you can’t ask for more in terms of comfort!
I’m super grateful for my ongoing partnership with Earth; they enable my boot obsession for sure. As always, thank you so much for reading and supporting the brands that support me and my lil’ blog. :)
