Holding Onto Fall
December 1st marks the start of meteorological winter, and my mind automatically switches to winter mode, too, because of the holidays…even though it’s still astronomical fall until December 21st. And, typically our weather is still very fall-like with the occasional snowstorm. Case in point: It rained last weekend after snowing the weekend prior (and it’s raining again now). The only time of year I like snow is now because it makes me feel extra festive but it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer for that. Fingers crossed for a while Christmas! After that it can rain all it wants. ;)
Here’s a typical rainy day outfit. It’s not super exciting but it is what it is…haha. I wanted to wear a cozy flannel shirt and my navy Hunter boots and bridged the two with a pair of stretchy skinny jeans. I sort of wish I had worn my darker pair of skinny jeans instead so there wasn’t as much contrast between the jeans and the dark navy socks/boots, but my darker pair isn’t as stretchy/comfortable. I’m debating whether or not to replace them with something more comfortable. Oh, to be forever on a quest for the “perfect” wardrobe…
