The Air Hurts My Face
One of my favorite memes is: “The air hurts my face. Why do I live where the air hurts my face?” and boy was I FEELING THAT when we shot these photos a couple of weeks ago! I probably (definitely) should have worn a coat for this shoot—not only had it just snowed, the wind was whipping and felt absolutely brutal (as you can probably tell, haha). Have I mentioned recently how much I love blogging in the winter?
Luckily, the snow is gone now and we have rain in the forecast instead of snow, which is a little weird for January. It’s feeling a little spring-like out. Perhaps winter will make a return in February like it has the past couple of years. I won’t be mad if it doesn’t, though. ;) It just needs to keep snowing in the mountains!
This outfit isn’t super exciting, but it does consist of some of my favorite basics to combat the cold (other than a puffer coat and beanie and gloves, if it’s really cold out): a cashmere scarf, a classic cable knit sweater, fun wool socks, and the all-important snow boots. I layer either sleeveless or long-sleeved Heattech tees by Uniqlo under my sweaters depending on the activities for the day and/or how drafty the sweater is. They keep me warm and prolong my sweater wears so I don’t need to wash my sweaters as often!
