Burgundy and Black
I’m no stranger to wearing burgundy and black together, especially in the cooler months. (Here are some past ways I wore the combo: for a fall work trip, with a tan mini skirt, for a snowy winter day.) I tend to opt for darker colors because the cold and the early darkness put me in that kind of mood.
I pulled out a few old favorites for this look. I haven’t worn my burgundy cropped cashmere sweater in a while, and I paired it with my old ponte pants. I used to wear these pants all of the time (they’re starting to show some signs of wear, especially in the knees), but I have worn them less at my job because I worry they come across as leggings. I stick to longer tops if I do plan to wear them, and this layered tank is a great option for staying modest. Of course, my shiny Chelsea boots are a perennial favorite of mine, and you can find me carrying this bag 90% of the time.
I really dislike how the blogging industry (and “instablogs”) can make one feel like they need to wear and share new things all the time, so I hope rewearing my old favorites inspires you to do the same! :)
