ISO: Dreamy Linen Pants
I can’t help but think ahead to summer and plan my summer wardrobe now that we’re nearing the end of April. One thing at the top of my list is a pair of loose linen pants in a creamy flax or oatmeal color. I wanted a pair of pants like that to bring on our trip to the Cook Islands last September, but didn’t find exactly what I was looking for. I ended up purchasing a pair of striped linen pants by Madewell that I loved and wore every night—and they even survived a pretty large tomato sauce stain!
Still, the elusive pair of perfect linen pants escaped me, and I decided I would try to find the right pair this summer. Obviously, I won’t be traveling anytime soon, but they’ll be perfect for beach trips in the future. And I’d likely wear them in everyday life: at work, to the farmers market on the weekends, etc. Fingers crossed we’ll get back to some semblance of “old normal” in the next year or so!
My dream pair of linen pants features a loose, wide leg (but not too wide), a high rise, elastic waist, POCKETS, and of course, be in a light cream/flax/oatmeal/natural color. I picture myself wearing them while walking along a beach. I know, I don’t do that a lot, but that’s what I want to feel like I’m doing when I’m wearing them, haha.
I have some pairs in mind, but I haven’t made a definite decision on which pair I’d like. However, there is one brand in particular I will likely order them from. The options I’m considering are below; please let me know if you recommend any of the pairs or brands or let me know if I missed any other options!
These are the quintessential linen pants—the ones I see all over Pinterest when I search for linen pant inspiration. They’re both almost perfect: I love that the Tide pants feature pockets, and I like the more relaxed, wider leg on the Florence pants. Unfortunately, the price points of both are just a little bit steep for me, so for now they will remain as inspiration.

A couple of years ago, I briefly mentioned my desire to order a linen skirt from Not Perfect Linen, a popular Etsy seller with a wide variety of beautiful linen garments made to order in Lithuania. I still have yet to place an order, and while I would still love to add one of their gorgeous linen skirts to my wardrobe, I also have my eyes on a a pair of linen pants!
I am leaning towards one of these pairs because the price point is better for my budget but am not sure which pair to spring for, because neither pair is exactly what I’m looking for… I wish there was a leg width in between the two pairs above! Out of the two, though, I’m leaning more towards the Athens linen pants on the right.
