April Style Sudoku, At Home: Outfits 6–10
The second batch of outfits from my April style sudoku, at home edition is coming in hot! I shared my first five outfits last Friday, and today is all about outfits 6-10. Below, you’ll find all the details on what I wore on each day, the activities for that day, and my thoughts on each outfit and how well it worked for me. I also added three things I’m thankful for. ☺️ You can catch every outfit in real time over on Instagram stories, and if you missed any, all outfits are saved in my Style Sudoku highlight.
OUTFIT 6 • Friday, April 17th
I’ve decided that Friday is my favorite day of the week…after work is over, of course. It’s always a little difficult for me to focus through a full Friday of work, but it’s worth it to get to that blissful feeling in the evening when you know you have the whole weekend ahead of you. It’s funny; I used to feel kind of like a loser for spending my Friday nights at home blogging (even though I prefer doing that over going out), and now it’s finally “socially acceptable” (and expected) to stay home on Friday nights.
This is one of my favorite outfits from this style sudoku, and it’s actually the outfit that inspired this sudoku. I wore everything except for the hat a week before I started my sudoku and knew it was one I wanted to repeat! It’s hard to tell in the photos, but my cardigan is navy and the leggings are grey. I do believe this is the infamous, blogger-favorite Barefoot Dreams cardigan that I had not been able to get my hands on until I caught it on sale a few weeks ago. I will say that it wasn’t quite what I was expecting (I thought it would be thicker), but it is very soft and cozy and I always appreciate that!
Three things I’m thankful for: 1) another Friday evening; 2) a break from work; 3) my cat, Sybil

OUTFIT 7 • Saturday, April 18th
I spent my weekend doing the Thrive virtual blog conference! It was an early morning for me, but I felt infinitely more productive because I got up early. (Spoiler alert: I took a nap in the afternoon, haha.) It was a lot of information packed in a short amount of time, but I hope to take what I learned and (attempt to) improve my blog.
Anyway, Saturday was also an exciting day because we got to pick up some farmer’s market goodies! (One of our farmers markets is a now “drive-thru” style where you sign up for a time slot online, order what you want in the online store, and pick up your order at the normal farmers market location on Saturdays.) Unfortunately, we didn’t get any of the produce we had hoped to get, but I did get plenty of bread products, including a giant loaf of potato bread! On our way home, we stopped by one of our favorite brunch places to pick up brunch to go, including a grapefruit mimosa for me. Yum!
Three things I’m thankful for: 1) Thrive for hosting a free virtual blog conference; 2) fresh food from the market; 3) mimosas to go

OUTFIT 8 • Sunday, April 19th
While Saturday was the main Thrive conference, Sunday consisted of workshops, and I signed up for a workshop about incorporating a high level affiliate strategy with affiliate links. It was another early morning, but the workshop was quite informative and made me realize just how much work it is to be a full-time blogger (making enough money to support yourself/your partner/your family). I am in awe of people that were able to make the switch; I don’t think there is enough time in the day for me to work full-time and attempt to go full-time with my blog! (Going full-time with my blog has never been my goal, but I just realized how difficult it is to do, especially in today’s world with so many bloggers.)
After the workshop, I cleaned up around the house—focusing on the pantry (trying to get back on my tidy-one-room-a-month goal and working on the kitchen this month)—and then later caught up with my family on Zoom and re-watched some of the conference videos from Saturday. We ended the day with a nice sunset walk with the cats along the river. The spring weather has been absolutely gorgeous!
Three things I’m thankful for: 1) more family Zoom time; 2) quiet time by the river; 3) my brother for dropping off some extra homemade noodles

OUTFIT 9 • Monday, April 20th
And just like that, the weekend is over and it’s back to Monday! Luckily, working at home calls for sweats any day of the week, if that’s what feels right to you (and sweats definitely feel right to me right now). I’m really digging the joggers trend, which are basically just slim sweatpants. They don’t make me feel as frumpy as the regular, relaxed-fit sweatpants do. This super basic outfit got a little jazzed up with the gold earrings and necklace. Adding jewelry around your face is perfect for if you have video calls—it makes you look extra polished from their view, even if you have joggers on!
Three things I’m thankful for: 1) joggers; 2) the ongoing athleisure trend in general; 3) hot showers

OUTFIT 10 • Tuesday, April 21st
It was another absolutely gorgeous mid-70s spring day, so I had the windows open while I worked. I fully intended on doing something active in the evening, but I passed out on the couch after work and couldn’t get myself awake and motivated enough to do anything afterwards. I truly love taking naps when the windows are open and a slight breeze is blowing through the house. Heaven, right? There’s only a short window of time for perfect spring temperatures that allow for open windows, so I have to take advantage while I can!
It seems like every time I put together a style sudoku, there’s bound to be at least one outfit that doesn’t really go together all that well but that I end up stuck with in order to make the rest of the sudoku work. This is that outfit. It’s not my favorite of the bunch, but it does the job just fine.
Three things I’m thankful for: 1) fresh air from open windows; 2) working internet; 3) baseball caps
