The Nisolo Sandals I'm Excited to Wear this Spring

How to style flatform sandals for the early spring | Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

Late last week and over the weekend, it was warm enough in Boise for SANDALS. In March!!! I know that’s not really a good thing considering the whole global warming/climate change situation, but might as well take advantage of it before winter comes back for the third time (or fourth…? I’ve stopped counting).

What sandals are you excited to pull out this spring and summer? Are there any you want to add to your wardrobe? I’m particularly excited to wear my Nisolo sandals again. I purchased the all-day open-toe clogs (here’s my mini review of the clogs) and the go-to flatform sandals (here’s my mini review of the flatform sandals) late last summer and didn’t have many opportunities to wear them before the cool fall weather hit.

Nisolo Flatform Sandals

I raved about the Nisolo flatform sandals the last time I wore them, and my feelings are still the same now! I’m excited that the platform trend is still going strong. Great news for us shorties. 😉

Even though it was warm enough for sandals, the temperatures stayed in the low 70s, which is the prime temperature for wearing a lightweight long-sleeved top with jeans! (70s is also perfect for a sweater + shorts combo, another favorite of mine.) For this casual spring look, I picked a cropped boxy top in a very similar color to the sandals. The length of the top is perfect for wearing with high-rise jeans because there’s no weird bunching or need to tuck!

I didn’t want to weight the outfit down with dark denim, so I opted for this pair of “vintage blue” skinny jeans, which is somewhere between a light wash and a medium wash. It’s one of my favorites! Sometimes medium washes can be too saturated (a.k.a. look “too blue”) and that’s not normally the look I’m going for. This outfit felt a little boring with just the top, jeans, and sandals, so I topped it off with a fun baseball cap! This one is velvet and adds a nice textural element.

The Nisolo Go-To Flatform Sandal comes in a bunch of solid colors, including bone, which is the color I own. Nisolo just released some fun color combos, too, but they’re selling out quickly! The website suggests sizing up a half size and I would agree with that. The strap over my toes is super roomy and could easily accommodate a wide foot.

What are your thoughts on flatform sandals? How would you style them for spring? What sandals are you looking forward to wearing again as the weather warms up?
