Fireside
There's something quaint about the middle of nowhere New Hampshire. Most of the homes are heated by wood stoves, so the familiar smell wafts through the air as you drive down back country roads. I was particularly inspired by Chris's father's wood pile with its light dusting of snow and rich tones against the stark white. (They didn't have any snow at all until the day we flew there...go figure!)
I received this Madewell 'Hexcomb Texture' sweater from Chris's grandparents for Christmas. For its first outing, I tucked it into my black mini skirt, added fleece-lined leggings, wool socks, black boots, and finished the look with my burgundy scarf and black gloves. Simple yet totally me. I've been brainstorming many winter and spring outfit ideas recently, and I keep coming back to outfits like these. I've been loving adding interest with texture versus lots of little details like accessories, and it'll definitely be reflected in the outfits I share here!
