Top 10 Reader Purchases of 2024

This is my FOURTH year rounding up the best sellers that you—CCCH readers—love the most! One way that bloggers like me earn an income is when readers shop through affiliate links, including those you’ll see here from Collective Voice (formerly known as Shopstyle), LTK (formerly known as RewardStyle), and Howl, among a few others.

When you make a purchase through an affiliate link, the blogger earns a small percentage (usually 2-15%) of the sale at no additional cost to you; this is paid out by the retailer via the affiliate platform. Affiliate links make up a large portion of my blog income, and every little bit is SO appreciated to help me offset the costs of running CCCH!

By far the most popular retailer continues to be Etsy, thanks to my blog post about the best Etsy and other online shops with fan-made Taylor Swift merch! I love that you all love that post so much, and I know those Swiftie small businesses appreciate your support.

There were a number of items that I blogged this year (or in recent years) that made the list. Below are the top 10 reader purchases of 2024! Is there anything you love that I influenced you to buy that didn’t make the cut? Please drop a comment; I’d love to know!

Top Reader Purchases of 2024

1. Quince Luxe Baby Cashmere Sweater

Just like the past two years, one of your favorite blog posts of the year was my affordable cashmere sweater review roundup! I originally published the post fall 2021 and updated it in fall 2022. It’s due for another update!

At the top of the list is the Quince luxe baby cashmere crewneck sweater. It was one of the most expensive sweaters I reviewed ($100), but it really is so luxe. It’s softer than Quince’s $50 cashmere. HOWEVER, it looks like Quince has unfortunately discontinued this sweater… and I’m not quite sure when that happened or what you’re buying instead. They do have this new sweater, but it’s pricier at $200.

2. Dagne Dover Indi Diaper Backpack

Out of all of the Dagne Dover items I reviewed (including the new bag I reviewed in October 2024), the Indi diaper backpack continues to be your favorite! Even though I don’t use it as a diaper bag (no kiddos here), this backpack is great for short trips when I don’t bring my laptop (since mine doesn’t fit in the sleeve with its padded cover).

It’s really a great lightweight backpack that can hold all the essentials. There are so many pockets and spaces to corral your things. While I love the dark blue color (storm), the dark color does make it a little difficult to find things swimming down at the bottom of the bag.

I own the Indi diaper backpack in size large. It’s also available in sizes small and medium and it comes in an air mesh option as well.

3. Dagne Dover Landon Carryall

Number three on the list is another bag from my Dagne Dover reviews that got an update back in October 2024: the Landon carryall! It’s my go-to personal item; it fits perfect on top of my hardshell suitcase and features a luggage strap to attach it to the handle.

This bag holds so much stuff! I used to carry my Longchamp bag as my personal item, but I knew I could maximize space more with a bigger bag, and the Landon is perfect. My laptop fits great with its padded case, and there are a few other pockets to keep things sorted.

I own the Landon carryall in size large, which is the biggest size I recommend if you want it to fit under the seat in front of you (mine typically fits on its side). It’s also available in sizes extra small, small, medium, and extra large, and it comes in an air mesh option as well.

4. Abercrombie Curve Love Jeans

I rounded up the best jeans for short curvy women in fall 2023, and not surprisingly, the Abercrombie curve love jeans made the cut. I’ve worn my two straight leg pairs so much since I got them! I only brought those two pairs of jeans with me to Scotland earlier this year. They were also one of your top purchases of 2024!

I love that Abercrombie’s jeans come in so many size variations. Sizes range from 23 to 37, and inseams range from extra short to extra long. I do wish sizing was more consistent between the sizes (out of a bunch of pairs I ordered to try, only one fit me), but once you find your style, it’s a home run! These jeans are the exact style I own; I took the “short” inseam.

5. Madewell Curvy Jeans

I first tried Madewell’s curvy denim in July 2020, and my life changed! Since then I’ve reviewed curvy jeans I own from Madewell and Everlane (and now have more brands to add). You all still love reading and shopping these posts, and that makes me so happy! The skinny jeans I wore in my original post are long gone, but Madewell still offers a plethora of curvy denim in various styles.

No matter your height or weight, if you have a fairly significant waist-to-hip ratio (around 10” between the two give or take an inch), and/or if you have trouble with the back of the waistband gaping on your pants, give curvy styles a try! It’s incredible the difference a great-fitting pair of jeans makes.

I own so many pairs of curvy jeans now that it’s impossible to round up all the ways I’ve worn them here, but these outfits below are some of my favorites.

6. Wide Leg Jeans

More of you embraced wide leg jeans this year! It took quite a lot of convincing myself when I first saw them trending. My foray into the trend was with a pair of Madewell perfect vintage wide-leg jeans (specifically, the perfect vintage wide-leg crop jean in Catlin wash). I wish that style was still available; it’s the best!

Since I purchased this pair, I’ve added a few more wide leg styles to my closet—jeans and pants alike. They’re so comfy! I’m getting more and more comfortable seeing myself in a wider silhouette. It just takes a lot of practice and balancing out your proportions. If you’re not yet convinced, put together a bunch of outfits until you find a few options you love! Below are a few outfit ideas.

7. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream

I originally published my Kiehl’s skincare reviews in July 2022 but updated it back in May 2024. Kiehl’s continues to be one of my go-to skincare brands, and I totally understand why so many of you purchased the Ultra Facial Cream with Squalane! It was my top-selling beauty product.

I’ve repurchased this moisturizer so many times. I love how lightweight it is, which makes it perfect for the hot summer months (but I use it at any time of year—it’s on my list of the best moisturizers for dry winter skin). The look and texture of the moisturizer is one of my favorite aspects; it’s so creamy and delectable and my skin drinks it up.

Purchase the Ultra Facial Cream from Kiehl’s, Sephora, or Ulta.

When I use my Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream:

  • as the final step of my nighttime skincare routine any time of year, but it’s nice and lightweight for summer

8. Madewell The Large Transport Camera Bag

I was surprised to see my old Madewell bag make this list! I purchased the large transport camera bag specifically for my trip to Germany and Austria in fall 2023 (this outfit was worn in Germany, but I didn’t include it in my Germany packing list because it was similar to another outfit I wore, so I’m glad it can shine in this post!). I also took this bag with me to Scotland.

Unfortunately, this bag is no longer available, but do keep an eye for it on Poshmark. It’s a great everyday crossbody bag and an especially excellent bag for travel! I can pack a whole lot into it (wallet, phone, sunglasses, keys, Kindle, etc.). This crossbody bag seems to be the new version.

9. Quince Baby Alpaca-wool Oversized Cardigan

After trying and loving Quince’s cashmere, I was intrigued by their baby alpaca-wool sweaters since they also got excellent reviews. Turns out I love the sweaters I got, including the baby alpaca-wool oversized cardigan, and you loved it this year, too!

I already owned a similar cardigan but was looking for an upgrade, and this one was perfect. All alpaca garments sort of already have that “lived-in” look that looks like pilling, and I notice it more now that I’ve worn it a few times. The oversized fit is exactly what I was looking for! 10. Faux Leather Moto Jacket

Rounding up the top 10 reader purchases is a faux leather moto jacket! Mine is old by BlankNYC, but moto jackets are relatively timeless (there are tweaks in the style every year) and I love that you all are purchasing your own. Mine has a “standard” fit, but oversized jackets are having a moment right now, and cropped styles are always in if you’re petite!

I’ve worn my faux leather moto jacket so many times over the years—so much so that I rounded up 14 outfit ideas if you’re looking for ways to style yours. Don’t have one yet and want your own? I included similar options in the widget at the end of the post!
